Ceftriaxone+ Tazobactum

A broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic with a very long half-life and high penetrability to meninges, eyes and inner ears. Tazobactam is a antibacterial penicillin derivative which inhibits the action of bacterial beta-lactamases.

Indication of ROXONE-TZ

Tazobactam, a beta lactamases inhibitor & Ceftriaxone, a cephalosporin which acts synergistically to provide better results in resistant infections. It is prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, gynecological infections, intra-abdominal infections, for surgical prophylaxis, infections in blood as well bone and joint infections apart from others..

Side Effects

The main side effects of combination are pain, indurations and tenderness, warmth, tightness at the site of injection; allergic reactions such as rash along with disturbances in white blood cell count, diarrhea & liver enzyme elevations.
