Febuxostat which is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor indicated to treat excess uric acid in the blood (hyperuricemia) in patients with gout.

- Febuxostat a febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor indicated for the chronic management of hyperuricemia in patients with gout.
- For the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, chronic low back pain, acute pain and gout.
- For the treatment of muscle spasms.
Side Effects
- Common side effects are joint pain/swelling/stiffness, nausea, skin rash and dizziness.
